The appeal made by an officer requesting to reinstate him in his service should be forwarded to the Department of Local Government of Western Province along with a report including recommendation of the Head of the Institution. That appeal would be forwarded to the Ministry of Local Government of Western Province by the Department of Local Government and then it would be forwarded to the Public Service Commission of Western Province.

Following qualifications should be fulfilled to entitle for a pension.

• Relevant appeal
• General form with the recommendation of the Head of the Institution – Annexure 01
• Notification of leaving the post
• First appointment letter
